Since my student years, I’ve had the privilege of attending various guitar festivals around the world. For learners and music lovers alike, these have always been rare and unforgettable life experiences. From those moments, I have long harbored a dream— an event proudly “Made in Taiwan” and one that could grow and continue for generations to come.

Since 2012, each edition of the “Taiwan International Guitar Festival and Competition” has offered a vibrant and diverse program lasting seven to eight days. We have been honored to welcome outstanding guitarists and students from across the globe, and the enthusiastic response from participants and audiences alike has been truly encouraging. With the dedication of many over the years, the festival has now gained recognition within the global guitar community.

A successful and all-encompassing musical event requires the collective support and participation of many. To have reached where we are today, I am especially grateful to the many friends who have placed their trust in us and offered their long-term support and sponsorship, to the passionate and dedicated team who work tirelessly behind the scenes, and above all, to Ms. Jane Liu (Executive Director), who has known me for more than 40 years and contributed her professional expertise and unwavering dedication without reservation.
